The authorities at the Entry Point stamp your passport with clear dates that tell you about the duration. You need to mandatorily follow the range of dates marking your stay in Canada. Staying in the country beyond your date of departure is illegal.

If you don’t get any specific stamp at the Entry Point, you can stay in Canada for a maximum period of 6 months as a tourist. Also, keep in mind that there are provisions to extend the duration, rather renew the duration of your Tourist Visa.
