It is mandatory to submit the LOR with your visa application package.

You should be clear about the Startup Capital requirements before applying for the visa. If a venture capital funds your start-up, the minimum fund should be CAD 200000. On the other hand, if the agency funding your company is an angel investor club, the minimum fund should be CAD 75000. There is no obligation to seek your start-up funding from any company incubator. But, you should be a participant in the Canadian incubation program.

Start-up Capital Ownership

A maximum of 5 persons can be the owners of a start-up firm. The concerned persons should own a minimum of 10% of company’s voting stocks. The designated company should own more than 50% of the voting rights.

Language

The official languages in Canada are English and French. Operating your start-up business in either or both the languages is fair enough. It is crucial to keep in mind that the concerned individuals should possess a minimum skill in all four spheres of communication – reading, writing, listening, and speaking – tallying with a score level of 5 corresponding to The Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB).

Self employed Program

It is also possible to obtain a Business Visa under Self-employed Program of Canada. You may get involved in cultural or sports or any other field, and generate income for yourself. The authorities consider factors such as your age, expertise, language skills, adaptability, etc. Moreover, it is also important to showcase a 2-year business experience in the relevant field before applying for the visa.  The company he intends to establish or form should generate at least 1 full-time job for himself. It is not mandatory to show any proof of net assets, but you need to submit proof of financial resources to sustain yourself and your family in Canada.
